Our electrical team are fully qualified with enhanced DBS clearance and have MEIGaN (Medical Electrical Installations Guidance Notes) training to include the latest editions of BS7671:2008 (2015) Requirements for Electrical Installations, IET Wiring Regulations, Part 7 Section 710 Medical Locations which replaces the MEIGaN document which applies to electrical installations in medical locations to ensure the safety of patients and medical staff. These requirements, in the main, refer to hospitals, private clinics, medical and dental practices, healthcare centres and dedicated medical rooms in the workplace. It also applies to electrical installations in locations designed for medical research.
Thorn Electrical also offer a full service of testing and inspection to include portable appliance testing, EICR (electrical installation condition reporting), thermal imagery to identify any phase imbalance, loose connections, over heating and overloads which may be detrimental to the essential services supplying the healthcare installation.
